Who we are
Matchday is a football management game operated at matchday2.com. Questions: hello@matchday2.com.
Card payments are taken by Paddle, the merchant of record. Paddle’s privacy notice is at paddle.com/legal/privacy.
What we collect
To run an account we store your email address, a password hash (not the password itself), and session tokens. If you sign in with Google we store the Google subject that identifies that login.
Career files you save are stored privately so you can continue on this browser or the Windows build. They are not listed publicly.
If you buy a pack we store the order, the in-game amount, the Paddle transaction id, and whether the pack has been assigned to a career. We do not see or store your full card number.
The website and checkout may set cookies or similar storage that are needed to keep you signed in and to open Paddle Checkout. We do not use them to run advertising networks.
Why we use it
We use this information to provide the game, keep careers on the right account, take payment, deliver packs, prevent abuse, and meet tax and accounting duties that sit with Paddle and with us.
Who else sees it
Hosting and storage for the site, account records, and career files are provided by our infrastructure vendors, acting on our instructions. Paddle sees what it needs to take payment and to send invoices. We do not sell your personal information.
How long we keep it
Account and career data stays while the account is open. Payment records are kept for as long as tax and bookkeeping rules require. You can ask us to close an account at hello@matchday2.com. Payment records that the law says we or Paddle must keep cannot be deleted on request.
Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal information, to object to some uses, or to complain to a data protection authority. In the UK that is the ICO. Email us and we will deal with the request.
